WESTMINSTER ABBEY

Westminster Abbey is one of the UK’s great destinations. A building with unrivalled Royal connections, that has stood centre stage in the great moments of British History.

Every coronation since 1066 has taken place there (including in 2023 for the crowning of King Charles III, our current King) and it is the final resting place of countless Kings and Queens (Elizabeth 1st, Henry V, Mary Queen of Scots)

It is home to the Coronation Chair, perhaps the most important piece of furniture in British (and, dare I suggest, World) history.

But Westminster Abbey is so much more than a destination for fans of Royalty. It is the burial site of Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens and countless others.. And, as an example of late gothic architecture, it is simply glorious.

  • You can visit the Abbey as a stand-alone tour or part of a larger day sightseeing
